About

The Mill is the college and young adult ministry of Orchard Hill Church in Wexford, PA. The many mills seen around the Pittsburgh area, whether they are considered scars or monuments in our city, are portraits of its life, heritage and culture. They are real life images of processing, refining, creating and living. Raw materials are processed, and through that process impurities are removed, refining takes place and something stronger is created, which in turn creates something else new, and new kinds and qualities of life and living emerge and are sustained.

The Mill is what we call it when, together, we  process life and truth-claims; we are refined and made stronger; we experience re-creation and participate in creating and sustaining new kinds and qualities of life in ourselves and our city.  Whether it is a special monthly social or service activity or just going and hanging out for some Primanti’s, Rita’s or Bruester’s, our hope is that through The Mill young adults in the Pittsburgh area will meet each other, process, refine, create and LIVE.
